PanXchange® Hemp: Benchmarks & Analysis – Mar 2022

Cannabinoid biomass markets continue to confirm the rumblings of scarcity as the spread between old and new crop prices widens. Old crop biomass is trading around $0.10 to $0.125 per point CBD, and inventories are still quite large. However, CBD content available at this price point is diminished to 3% to 5% CBD which explains the $0.40 to $1.00 per pound price range for lower quality old crop. Higher quality old crop (>8% CBD) prices typically range from $1.20 to $2.00 per pound, with reported per point CBD prices ranging from $0.175 to $0.25.
