In the Permian basin, FOB Kermit 100m prices and 40/70m sand prices have experienced a minor correction this week, and have fallen by $1.00 per ton each. Supply shortages are highly prevalent for Permian and Eagle Ford in-basin sand, and we continue to hear of instances of spot transactions over $60 per ton to avoid idling crews or reducing the number of frac stages on a well. However, average prices have experienced a minor correction due to concerns about dwindling DUC inventory, as well as overarching economic concerns pointing to stagflation and economic recession.
